Year, First team ALL- OAC, Team and Defensive MVP, National Football Foundation Scholar
Athlete, 2-Time ALL-OAC Defensive player of the week, Academic All-OAC and a Verizon
Academic All-American candidate.
Was rated as one of the Top 100 returning players in NCAA Division III Football going into his
senior season. One of the best linebackers in the Ohio Athletic Conference and NCAA Division III.
Has the mental and physical toughness to lead a team. This was evident while facing defending
national champions Mount Union College. Schierbaum finished the day with 15 tackles, 10 solo
stops, a sack, a pass deflection and a fumble recovery. Very impressive for a player who
fractured his hand in the first quarter. He was awarded OAC Defensive Player of the Week.
