2008- Senior Season: Wayne Blackwell become one of the top
final college game, Blackwell is tied for eighth place on NCCU's
career receptions list with 113 catches, and ranks 12th in career
receiving yards with 1,413. He has also caught 15 touchdown
passes, Blackwell led the team in scoring with 38 points. Finished
senior season with 42 catches for 483 yards and six touchdowns
catches. Had a season high of six catches for 89 yards with a 63
yard score at Coastal Carolina. Blackwell finishes his career as
the eighth leading receiver in NCCU history with 117 catches for
1,462 yards. Caught a pass in every game for three straight
season in a row.

2007 - JUNIOR SEASON: Topped Eagles in receptions (42) and
receiving yards (509). Tied for the team lead with four touchdown
catches. Tied for second on the squad in scoring with 24 points.
Caught a career-best seven passes for 53 yards at Savannah
State (Oct. 20). Recorded a season-high 94 receiving yards on
six grabs, including a touchdown, at Albany State (Aug. 25).
Caught at least one pass in every game for the second straight
season.

2006 - SOPHOMORE SEASON: Second-leading receiver on the
team with 33 catches for 470 yards and five touchdowns. Unsung
hero of CIAA Championship Game after making a difficult 38-yard
reception in traffic with only five seconds left to set up the
game-winning, 51-yard field goal, finishing the contest with a
season-best six receptions for 96 yards. Voted as the CIAA
Receiver of the Week (Oct. 28) after catching four passes for
115 yards and three touchdowns at Livingstone. Made five grabs
for 85 yards and a score versus Langston (Oct. 21). Caught five
balls for 35 yards and a touchdown against Delta State (Nov. 25)
in the second round of the NCAA playoffs. Returned two kickoffs
for 28 yards at Fayetteville State (Oct. 14).

REIDSVILLE HIGH SCHOOL: Voted All-Conference, All-State
and All-Region. As a senior, grabbed 37 receptions for 1,120
yards and boasted highest grade point average on the team. As
a junior, caught 36 passes for 807 yards. Tied school record for
most touchdowns in a state championship game. Team won 2002
and 2003 state championships. Also lettered in basketball and
track.
