Mark Grocholski President & CEO of World Sports Scouting announces that Clayton Banner Commissioner of the
Independent Indoor Football Alliance (IIFA) will partner with WSS to create the premier clearinghouse for American
football players to play professional football in Europe. Banner will become World Sport Scouting's Combine
Coordinator and Director of Scouting. "The opportunity to work again with Mark (Grocholski) and WSS is very
exciting. Mark and I have worked together in the past. When I was with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats (Canadian Football
League), Mark was the head coach of the Kiel Baltic Hurricanes of the German Football League. We worked
together on sending players to Europe and also worked out players for the pro leagues here in the states. I moved
on to the Arena league and the farm system af2. Mark continued to work in Europe and was always a source of
player personnel needs of my teams". The two former Catawba College gridironers would continue to work on
player personnel and professional football development issues. "In 2006 I was blessed to work with one of the
premier football teams in Europe, the GFL’s Marburg Mercenaries. Before heading to Europe I consulted with my
old fried Mark Grocholski and learned valuable incite to the culture of Europe and the Germany Football League."
Answering the call for help to find football players that posses the skills to play in Europe is the reason for the
reforming of old partnerships. “There is a need from both sides of the Atlantic”, states Banner. “The teams in
Europe need a reliable professionally backed service that only deals with European team needs. The professional
service must cater to the special requirements needed to recruit players for Europe. The service cannot attempt to
work players for the indoor leagues or other leagues in the States.” The only way a service of this type can be
successful you (the staff) must have coached in the European system of operations.” World Sports Scouting
meets those needs. Grocholski and Banner both have coached and lived in Europe and worked/coached in the
European style of American Football.
