Is citizenship status important?
Most European leagues are allowed a maximum of three imports to play per
down. One of these imports would be you. Of these three imports, (2) North
Americans (USA & Canada) are the maximum that can take the field. A (3rd)
import is allowed but only if he is a Dual or non Domestic citizen. Because of
this rule, holding Dual or non Domestic citizenship can make you a valuable
asset to a team looking to obtain players. These players are not easy to find so
many teams go without that third import. Can you see where the advantage
would be and how valuable it is to have this third player? Do you have Dual
